With over 30 years of experience in early education, Misty has cultivated a unique blend of skills and expertise that make her a force to be reckoned with in the childcare industry. As a certified Louisiana Pathways trainer and a Professional Development Specialist for the CDA Council, Misty is dedicated to helping childcare business owners, directors, and staff become successful as they provide the best possible care and education for young children.
Misty's journey began as a Headstart teacher for seven years, where she honed her skills in classroom and crisis management within the ECE setting. Her passion for helping other childcare programs provide high-quality care led her to found MLBrown Childcare Consulting Group, formerly known as Early Learning Consultation Services.
Having held multiple roles in childcare, including those of Director, Regional Coordinator, Vice President, and Senior Program Consultant/Owner of her own consulting group, Misty specializes in designing programs, staff development, licensing management, policy development, and budget management. She is also a local Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) & Quality Start liaison and provides CDA information and support.
